What are Tacky Mats?
Floorgard® Tacky Mats are temporary non-slip mat protection for entrances or exits in workplaces. The sticky adhesive traps dirt and debris from shoes and wheels on contact, keeping dirt from entering the area.
These mats are ideal for environments that demand strict cleanliness, such as warehouses, factories, hospitals, laboratories, food prep areas, and construction sites. They adhere well to various flooring types, including tile, concrete, laminate, and vinyl.
Each mat includes 30 peel-off layers, allowing for multiple uses before replacement.
KEY FEATURES
- Material: Made from polyethylene with a tensile strength of 150kg per 10mm, resisting tearing when pulled or stretched.
- Adhesive: Features two levels of grip: a lighter adhesive on top for overlapping joints and a stronger one underneath to grip the floor surface.
- Heat-resistant: Withstands temperatures up to around 70°C for 48 hours without losing performance.
- Cold-resistant: Can handle freezing temperatures as low as -13°C for up to 48 hours, suitable for indoor cold rooms or storage areas.
- Weatherability: Rated for up to 200 hours of outdoor use, resisting sun, wind, and light rain.

FAQ
How to use tacky mats?
Place the mat at entry or exit points to cover the full doorway or high-traffic area. Peel off the protective film to expose the sticky surface, then press it onto the floor.
When the top layer gets dirty or loses stick, peel it off to reveal a clean one underneath. Repeat until all layers are used, then replace the mat.
How long does each layer of a tacky mat last?
Each layer can handle around 50 walkthroughs, depending on how much dirt or dust is present. With 30 layers per mat, you won’t need to replace the whole mat often, especially for short-term use.
