What is Safegard® Scafwrap Hatch Door? 

Safegard® Scafwrap Hatch Door is made with 200µm polyethylene, a heavy-duty material that’s thick enough and won’t tear easily. Installation is simple—tape the hatch door onto the surface, then cut a hole in the underlying shrink film. 

Accessing and securing points for entering and exiting shrink-wrapped areas is hassle-free with its U-shaped zippered design. 

KEY FEATURES 

• Material: Built around 200µm polyethylene, a heavy-duty material with enough thickness to handle site conditions and regular access without tearing or stretching. 
• U-shaped: This design creates a flap that stays attached on one side, so the hatch door can open and close without fully detaching from the shrink wrap. 
• Zippered: The built-in zip gives you access through the opening and lets you seal it again when not in use.

Can the hatch door be reused after removal? 

No, we don’t recommend it. Most shrink wrap hatch doors are meant for single-use installation. Removing them may damage the adhesive or the surrounding film, so reapplication isn’t the best move. 

What size opening does the hatch door provide? 

Standard hatch doors create an opening large enough for easy access. Scafwrap Hatch Door gives you a 1.8m high opening. Exact dimensions can vary; always check product specifications before fitting.
