What is Demolition Film?
Demolition Film is a protective film applied to existing glazing before demolition work takes place. It bonds to the glass surface to help hold fragments together if the glazing breaks. This reduces the risk of scattering until the panel can be replaced or safely removed.
KEY FEATURES
Impact resistance: The film is designed to withstand impact from site activities while remaining bonded to the glass surface.
Waterproof: Resists moisture exposure in areas where water and humidity are present.
Application: Adhesive backing allows the film to be applied directly to glazing surfaces for quick installation.
Good for:
Reducing risk of flying glass on impact
Increase control and safety in demolition works
Holding broken glass in position until ready for replacement or disposal
BENEFITS
Glass retention: Demolition Film keeps damaged glass pieces together after breakage until the glazing can be repaired or replaced.
Reduced cleanup: Demolition Film helps limit the spread of glass fragments, reducing the amount of debris that needs to be cleared after breakage.
OTHER GENERAL NAMES
Demolition window film, glass protection film, temporary glass protection film, glass safety film, and glass retention film.
